It's Been a Blue Ribbon Kind of Year

I've been looking forward to meeting Marjorie Johnson at The Woods gift shop all week.
She's been on Jay Leno, The View and she even baked a pie with Martha Stewart last year.

I wanted to give her something special. One of my recipes?
A bag my Reindeer Ravioli? Nope-I was out of time. So from this crafty mess -
came this...
... in about 30 minutes.
How would I give it to her?
And what would we chat about?
Why the Pillsbury Bake-off® of course...she's been 3 times in the 70s. She won a fridge from Monty Hall (to Betsy Chan: don't you have a Monty Hall story too?). I could have talked to her for hours. Now off to read her cookbook and decide what to make first.

  1. She was the sweetest, wasn't she? Darn, I forgot my camera today. We talked about the BakeOff, too!

  2. You & Cathy W didn't connect tonight?? I think Marjorie is the cutest thing...next to the Blue Ribbon card you made her, of course. Yes, I worked in Marketing/Promotions at Mystic Lake casino and planned a fun game-show with Monty Hall. I have a video and photos of us somewhere....

  3. How fun...although I love living in "rural Minnesota" with all it's advantages...It's hard to keep up with all the events happening in the cities much less get to them :) Glad you did and shared it. I was actually in St. Paul this weekend (Fri/Sat) for the "Women of Faith" Conference...back home again and ready to get sewing inventory of my "Therapeutic Rice Packs" for a show on Saturday. :)
