46th Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest Winner - Loaded Potato Pinwheels

Glori Spriggs was the Million Dollar winner of the 46th Pillsbury Bake-Off contest held in Las Vegas this last Monday. I thought I'd give her recipe a try. You'll need just 7 items.
Her recipe called for bacon bits. I used real bacon that I cooked in the microwave. You'll need about 8-10 pieces.
Thaw frozen potatoes.
And smash most of them with a fork.
Stir in other ingredients.
Plunk half of mixture on one side. Press it down firmly to make it all fit.
Roll it up tightly so it seals (I had a few leakers).
Cut into 1" pieces with a knife. I sprayed knife with cooking spray along the way.
I baked it on parchment lined foil from Reynolds wrap.

What's not to love about a bite size treat topped with sour cream, bacon and green onion?

I Wannabee a Screen Printer

I've always wanted to learn screen printing so I can make cool t-shirts. Usually that need happens the day before a gift giving occasion. Should I spend three hours at a mall or just whip up a shirt? I had designed some cool aprons last spring when Pillsbury asked for apron ideas online. I revised the artwork to reflect the Pillsbury Bake-Off® Wannabee Facebook group and Cooking Contest Central.
This art is so clean and neat. Would paint work?
I practiced on a scrap of fabric
Not perfect, but just pretend it is supposed to look that way. I used a lightbox so I could see the image underneath.
I made a few in a variety of colors.
Wait. This one says "Winner Bee". Whos' that?
I packaged them up and sent them off to Vegas for a few of my friends.
PS The fabric paint bottle says they are machine washable. And to the ladies, I apologize for the horrible fit. Just roll up the sleeves and belt it for a cuter look!

PPS UPDATE November 12, 2013: Here's a photo of Christina with my shirt in Las Vegas. Photo by Cooking Contest Central
And thanks for the compliments Pillsbury! Looking forward to seeing you in Nashville next year (hopefully)!

Thinking about Vegas today because the Pillsbury Bake-Off® is going on there and I realized that I was in Vegas the same cool fall weekend 3 years ago. Enjoy these pics. The is the Aria/Cosmo part of town.

Went to a fancy party at a warehouse off the strip.
Hung with celebrities like the CSI guy and MN boy Herculies.
No Hall just Oates: "Sarah SMILLLLLEEEE I Won't you SMILE AWHILE WITH me Sara."
Ate good food. Hash House a DON'T GO. Music TOO LOUD AT 11am!
Vosages Hot Chocolate Bar at midnight.
Saw the sights. Legal disclaimer: these neon photos ARE NOT FOR SALE.
Did you know Brad Pitt was photographed on this arrow for Vanity Fair?
Day trip east.

Window shopped.
How about these fabulous lighted stairs?
All trips that involve flying are not successful unless they include this:
